Rugby League World Cup
The Road to 2008

The World Cup will be played at the end of the 2008 season in Australia to mark a season-long celebration of Rugby League's centenary Down Under.
The last World Cup was played in 2000 when Australia defeated New Zealand 40-12 in the World Cup Final in Manchester, England.
The 2008 competition will feature 10
teams with New Zealand, England, Australia, Papua New Guinea and France entered automatically. Five more teams will be selected from the Qualifiers which kicked off in April 2006.
